It’s not original, but it delivers what the game promises: a competent Pokémon alternative that fans of the original can immediately find their way around.Ĭoromon is particularly impressive when it comes to the fine-tuning: the sound design, menus and battle displays have been lovingly designed. The game doesn’t experiment too much, instead focusing on skilfully borrowing the mechanics and look of the real thing. Like Zubats, Pokémon clones exist in caves – but Coromon stands out from this mass of imitators.
